We’re absolutely thrilled to share that Llew Jones Ltd, has been shortlisted for not just one, but two prestigious awards at the RouteOne Awards 2025, these are:
- Medium Coach Operator of the Year (16-40 Coaches)
- Best Use of Technology
What Are the RouteOne Awards?
The RouteOne Awards are a leading UK industry awards programme celebrating excellence across the coach, bus, and minibus sector. Launched in 2005, they recognise outstanding achievement in operations, innovation, customer service, sustainability, leadership, and engineering.
For operators in the UK, being nominated for a RouteOne Award is seen as a true mark of recognition and prestige, the event has previously been described as “the industry’s version of the BAFTAs.” Everyone at Llew Jones is immensely proud of being finalists in the categories; for us, it’s a celebration of our commitment to providing the very best for our passengers, our team, and our community, as well as our ongoing investment in business, safety and innovation.
These nominations reflect the hard work and dedication of everyone at Llew Jones over the past year, and we can’t wait to celebrate at the awards this month!
Here’s a quick look at why we’re finalists:
Medium Coach Operator of the Year
For over 50 years, Llew Jones has worked hard to set new standards in luxury travel, customer experience, and operational excellence. Over the past year, we’ve invested more than £1 million in modern, high-spec vehicles, creating one of Europe’s most luxurious coach fleets for UK and European tours, private hires, and partnerships with operators such as Leger Holidays, Lochs and Glens holidays, PGL, Ski 4 Less, and Select School Travel. We’ve also continued to invest in our infrastructure, supporting both business growth and our colleagues.
Customer experience and driver excellence remain at the heart of everything we do. Our drivers are consistently recognised for their professionalism including award wins at the Leger Shearings Driver Awards, and initiatives like our “Travelling Europe in Style” Facebook group help create personal, memorable journeys for our passengers. We’re also proud to develop talent internally, helping drivers progress their careers starting from local routes to touring across Europe.
Being a Welsh business is also something we hold close to our hearts. We’re proud to give back to our community, from Welsh-speaking drivers on school contracts to supporting local sports teams, and offering work placements for those starting their careers. We strive to be a strong representative of how local businesses can make a lasting impact.
Best Use of Technology
Safety has always been our top priority, which is why we’ve partnered with Centrad to roll out an advanced CCTV and telematics system across our fleet. This technology integrates real-time video, GPS tracking, alerts, and instant footage access, transforming the way we operate.
The impact has been huge: footage can now be accessed instantly, customer queries are resolved faster, and drivers and passengers are safer and better supported than ever. Beyond fleet management, this technology has also helped us locate missing persons, support police investigations, and assist in safeguarding cases - powerful examples of how innovation can serve our wider community.
We’re also proud to be among the first operators in our rural region to embrace live fleet tracking, reflecting our commitment to safety, innovation, and passenger care — all while staying true to our ethos:
“To be the passenger transport company of choice – by going the extra mile.”
Proud to be at the RouteOne Awards 2025
No matter the outcome, we couldn’t be prouder of our incredible team. Being recognised as finalists for these prestigious awards is an achievement in itself, and we’re honoured to be flying the flag for North Wales within the UK coach and bus industry.
We look forward to celebrating this moment together and continuing to drive excellence in everything we do.
